The Calmona urethral pessary is a ring-shaped pessary with an oval-shaped tubercle. The function of the nodule is to additionally strengthen the urethra. The urethral pessary is used for conservative (non-surgical) correction of organ prolapse and simulation of the results of surgical correction of stress urinary incontinence, including surgical treatment using a mesh prosthesis

The Calmona urethral pessary is made of soft and flexible silicone, which facilitates application and ensures comfortable wearing.

CALMONA urethral pessary - indications:

• Conservative (non-surgical) correction of genital prolapse (N81.1 – 81.9 according to ICD – 10).
• Simulation of the results of surgical correction of stress urinary incontinence, including surgical treatment using a mesh prosthesis.

Contraindications to use:

• allergic reactions to the material the pessary is made of
• inflammatory diseases of the female pelvic organs, bleeding from the genital tract

Dimensions:

The urethral pessary is available in the following sizes (outer diameter): 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 mm.

Application:

• The product should not be used by other patients.
• The pessary should be stored at room temperature.
• It is unacceptable to start using the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
• The product must not be used if there is any damage (cuts, cracks, etc.) on the product surface.
• The pessary is supplied non-sterile. Before first use, it is necessary to sterilize the pessary. The pessary can be sterilized with steam (at a temperature of 121 oC, for no less than 15 minutes) or with hot air (at a temperature of 160 oC, exposure time 2 hours). After sterilization, the product should be cooled to room temperature.
• In order to reuse, the pessary should be washed under running water with detergent (liquid soap). When washing, you can use a soft brush. Then, apply an antiseptic solution for the skin and mucous membrane (Octenisept or similar) to the pessary for 1 minute and then rinse it again under running water.
• The properties of the material allow this procedure to be repeated for the product.
• During treatment with a silicone pessary, the development of inflammatory diseases of the female pelvic organs is possible.
