Perforated cube pessary - description:
An ankle pessary is one type of pessary used to treat pelvic problems, especially in cases of pelvic organ depression and urinary incontinence. Cube pessary Dr. Arabin is a product made of soft and flexible silicone, which facilitates application and ensures comfortable wearing, without the feeling of pinching. The ankle pessary is equipped with a thread made of medical polymer, which reduces the risk of it breaking while being pulled out and also reduces the risk of infection, bleeding and pressure sores. Cube pessary Dr. Arabin is perforated to allow air flow and mucus outflow, which can help maintain the health of vaginal tissue and reduce the risk of infection. The cube pessary holds better than other gynecological pessaries due to the negative pressure effect.
Cube pessaries are the only type of pessaries that the patient can apply himself. It is recommended to remove the pessary at night. This allows the vaginal walls to regenerate overnight. However, in some cases it may be prudent to use a pessary at night to prepare tissue before surgery. However, this should only be done on the order of the attending physician. In the event of a more serious event, in patients requiring care, a smaller pessary can also be used at night, but always after consultation with the attending physician. When inserting the cube, it is worth applying the ointment to 2-3 edges of the cube. This not only creates a lubricating effect, but also improves blood flow in the tissues or rebuilds normal vaginal flora when estrogen is used. The choice of cream or ointment should be discussed with your gynecologist.
Cube pessary Dr. Arabin is made in Germany.
Why is the perforated cube pessar with a button by dr arabin the best?
Dr Arabin perforated cube pessaries with a button, thanks to their design, ensure the lowest risk of pressure sores compared to other competitive solutions. The Dr. Arabin cube pessary with a button has a button located in its central part, thanks to which the threads used to pull it out should not rub the vaginal walls when applied correctly. When inserting the pessary, the button is a kind of handle that helps to apply it properly.
- Flexible and soft - easy application and comfortable use,
- Perforation holes ensure air exchange and thus reduce the risk of vaginal discharge and infections,
- Rounded edges - no risk of injury,
- Biocompatible materials for the body,
- Nothing made of medical polymer (similar to surgical threads),
- Stable thread attachment with a button.
What are the applications of a button ankle pessar?
- Used for various degrees of vaginal and uterine depression,
- Used to loosen vaginal adhesions and narrowings in case of urinary incontinence problems, especially stress urinary incontinence (e.g. when laughing or coughing),
- Before surgery to eliminate vaginal and/or uterine prolapse,
- Together with estrogen administered vaginally, it accelerates the healing process and improves tissue circulation,
- Useful in urodynamic examination for the repositioning of a lowered reproductive organ,
- Indications for treatment also include bladder emptying disorders,
- Discomfort during sexual intercourse,
- Before surgeries.
How to use cube pessaries?
- Smaller pessaries are usually used to correct prolapse.
- In the case of a narrowed vagina, larger pessaries are usually indicated,
- In a patient with isolated uterine prolapse, a small pessary will be placed in the upper (distal) part of the vagina. In the case of additional prolapse of the bladder and intestine, the larger pessary should be placed approximately in the middle of the length of the vagina,
- Before application, it is recommended to cover 2-3 edges of the cube pessary with estriol cream, which will facilitate the application and improve circulation in the vaginal tissues and renewal of the vaginal flora.
What size of cube pessar is right for me?
The choice of the appropriate type and size of pessary is very individual and should be made under the supervision of a specialist. Pessaries are often used to treat pelvic organ depression or urinary incontinence, but their effectiveness and comfort of use may vary depending on the patient's individual needs and health conditions, e.g. the degree of genital depression.
