DESCRIPTION:
evoStim E is a device for the therapy of the pelvic day muscles (Kegla muscles) using EMS electrostimulation as well as the EMG biofeedback method. The evoStim E solution allows for passive 1-channel muscle stimulation to force contractions, as well as active pelvic muscle re-education with 1 EMG biofeedback channel (via EMG-triggered electrostimulation). The following therapeutic purposes are available for use by the user:
- URGE - urgent urinary incontinence
- STRE - stress urinary incontinence
- MIX - mixed urinary incontinence
- PAIN - pain relief in the perineum and pelvis area
- EVO - rehabilitation using EMS electrostimulation triggered by conscious contractions (EMG biofeedback)
- BIOFEEDBACK - recruitment and training biofeedback with the use of EMG
The evoStim E device is dedicated to be used by the patient at home (after consulting a doctor), as well as in specialist offices. It is recommended for moderate and significant weakening of the Kegel muscles.
The solution makes it possible to set two types of pulse waves (symmetrical or alternating) in order to better match the stimulation to the type of probe (with ring or side electrodes).
DETAILS:
- LCD touch screen with multi-color backlight
- the ability to efficiently adjust using the knob
- 6 treatment programs
- option to modify selected parameters in ready-made programs
- IntelliStim® function - intelligent automatic adjustment of stimulation parameters
- active rest function - minimal relaxing stimulation during the rest phase (STRE, MIX).
- the ability to turn off the audible signals for greater discretion
- detection of an open current circuit
- class IIa medical device according to 93/42 / CEE
PERISPHERA-O VAGINAL PROBE:
PERISPHERA-O is a vaginal probe equipped with two ball-shaped electrodes, designed for EMG stimulation or biofeedback. The probe allows the usual stimulation used in most cases.
The PERISPHERA-O probe is constructed of two identical, symmetrical spheres (round profile), which ensures a perfect fit and allows for undifferentiated and simultaneous stimulation of both branches of the puborectal muscle, regardless of the orientation of the probe. The PERISPHERA-O probe electrodes are gold-plated with nickel-free technology, making them ideal for people allergic to nickel. Additionally, the presence of gold ensures good biostatic and biocompatible properties, therefore the probe is perfect for contact with mucous membranes.
The large stimulation area (12 cm2) ensures excellent recruitment of the muscle fibers responsible for bladder control.
The PERISPHERA-O probe can be used with any device for urinary incontinence therapy (electrostimulation or EMG biofeedback) with a cable terminated with a 2mm pin connector and with the emission of symmetrical two-phase pulses.
- dimensions: total length: 12 cm, length of the vaginal part: 5.7 cm, diameter: 10-26 mm
- large stimulation area of 12 cm2
- 2 probes in the shape of symmetrical spheres for a perfect fit
- to be used in most cases
- gold-plated electrodes with nickel-free technology
- latex free
- 1 channels
- 2 electrodes
- comfort of use
- class IIa medical device (93/42 / EEC)
EMS ELECTROSTIMULATION:
EMS neuromuscular electrostimulation is a method in which muscles or motor nerves are stimulated using electrical impulses. evoStim E stimulates the work of the pelvic floor muscles, including mainly the pubic and coccyx. The device offers 4 treatment programs that are dedicated to the use of specific types of urinary incontinence, as well as pain conditions. Thanks to electrostimulation therapy with the STRE program, you will strengthen the strength and endurance of the pelvic floor muscles, which will help control the bladder during stress urinary incontinence. However, by using the URGE program, you will relax over tense muscles that cause urgent urinary incontinence. The device also has the MIX program for pelvic floor muscle re-education in the event of mixed-type urinary incontinence, as well as a program recommended to relieve pain in the perineum and pelvis.
BIOFEEDBACK EMG:
Biofeedback is the feedback of the body's biological function. It allows the user to identify and modify body functions to improve self-control. During pelvic day muscle training using biofeedback, the patient is asked to perform the maximum contraction on his own. Muscle activity is measured by detecting EMG signals of the order of microvolts sent by the muscles. This activity is visualized on the computer screen in the form of concentric circles or with a bar chart, and the user's task is to perform a contraction strong enough to achieve the target displayed on the screen. This helps to increase muscle awareness and control.
PROGRAM EVO:
The EVO program is a combination of muscle stimulation to force muscle contractions and active re-education of the pelvic muscles using biofeedback. When working with the program, the patient's task is to reach a certain threshold, which is rewarded with triggering the EMS threshold pulses to help the patient increase contraction strength and maintain its duration. The last reached threshold value is automatically saved and will be the starting threshold for the next session.
COMPARISON OF DEVICES EVOSTIM:
WHY IT IS WORTH TRAINING THE PELVIC BOTTOM MUSCLES:
Urinary incontinence
Urinary incontinence is a very common disorder in women. Urinary incontinence is defined as the occurrence of involuntary leakage of urine through the urethra.
Sphincter contraction regulates the opening and closing of various channels (urethra, vagina and anus). In the case of a bladder, the pelvic floor regulates the closure of the urethra to prevent urine leakage. This force must be greater than any force that presses against the bladder. Leakage occurs when the pelvic floor is not strong enough. In this case, the sphincter cannot close properly.
Urine leakage can occur for a number of reasons, such as after childbirth or the menopause. To prevent this problem, pelvic floor training is essential throughout your life. The device helps to learn the location of the pelvic floor, perform contractions and strengthen its muscles and properties (elasticity, tonicity, endurance).
Intimate life
The pelvic floor plays an important role during intercourse. During the pre-orgasm phase, adequate muscle tone is required to increase sensations during the act, but only relaxation causes orgasm. Therefore, the ability to control the muscles of the pelvic floor is a guarantee of intense sensations.
Weak pelvic floor muscles reduce the sensations during intercourse. On the other hand, too tense muscles can cause pain during intercourse. These two situations can be remedied by practicing proper tone and control of pelvic floor muscle contractions.
Improving the condition of muscles after pregnancy and childbirth
The pressure of the uterus and bladder on the pelvic floor, incorrect preparation of the fundus muscles for childbirth, and an incision of the perineum can greatly weaken them and make it difficult to return to normal. Therefore, it is important to learn how to relax your pelvic floor during pregnancy. This will make it easier for the baby to pass through the birth canal and prevent the bladder from weakening, which can cause incontinence problems later.
